A little while ago I had a pretty nasty crash in which my battery was smashed up. most of the damage is on one of the cells with a little bit of a smashed end and the whole cell seems to be cupped a little bit in the lengthwise direction.
At first I thought the battery was toast but I threw it on a slow charge which went fine without any heating up or puffing of the cell. After that I threw it on the bird and it flew fine, accept that it gets about twice as hot. It seemed to have the same amount of output Amps but the flight time was much shorter that before and I have gone through 4 cycles with the same performance. I have also tried letting the pack cool down and trying to run it down a bit further but it just wont give me more than about 10 seconds of flight.
I have also just bought a Cellpro charger which is telling me that the individual cells are running around 3.7V after flight versus around 3.1V to 3.4V on my other battery, and it only puts back about 1300mah.
I was wondering if anyone else had seen this type of issue with a crashed pack and if there is anything that can be done (dont really think there is), or do I just have a really heavy 1300mah pack.
