Has anyone tried flying a 450 or any heli flybarless without stabilization? Just wondering. I've seen a video of swift 16 flybarless without stabilization. Looked decent.

My early experiment:

Conclusion: without a stabalization in this tiny bird, you can fly but all brain energy is drained to stabalize it , rather than enjoying.

What do u intend to do with it? Scale or 3D?

I flew my home made 2 bladed flybarless for 450 WITH and WITHOUT gyro before. Without any stability assist, trying to hover it in non windy condition is hard...let alone flying it. It is all down to the size of TRex450 and the weight of the blades. Bigger heli and full size heli can fly without gyro assist though.

I plan to do 3D with this setup. But with a bigger bird, I think the 450 would be suicide with a gyro. I would need to run expo of 100 and a dual rate of 10 just to control it. Maybe it I'll try it just to see.
