Either I'm losing it or my Flight Simulator is doing something backwards. In Phoenix, inverted nose-in hovering - which way do I push my right (cyclic) stick to make the bird roll to the right on the screen, my right. I think I'm losing it....:dontknow

Inverted nose-in is the same as non-inverted tail-in as far as the direction you push the cyclic stick to get the heli to move relative to your position. The difference, of course, is that collective is reversed.

Only for elevator, I think.

Aileron (sideways cyclic) control is the same inverted or right way up. Elevator (forward/ back cyclic) appears reversed from what you'd expect the right way up. My mnemonic is 'push nose up, pull nose down' when inverted.

You're right. I was just trying to visualize it this morning and neglected to take into account the collective reversal, I think. When tail-in, right cyclic will always tilt the heli clockwise. Whether the rotor is above or below the fuselage, it still results in a rightward tilt.

So, when inverted tail-in, both elevator and collective are reversed, and when inverted nose-in, both cyclic and collective are reversed.
