I hovered out for an entire battery for the first time tonight!!

When i first started out though, i had problems with the blade tracking. One blade would be low... i would adjust the pitch link a half turn, then the blade would be to high at around 3/4 throttle. How could this be?

1) I have a new feathering shaft
2) Main blade clamps are firm but not tight
3) Stock plastic head has no major slop
4) New 315 main blades

I kept adjusting either side by half turns and it kept alternating the higher blade tracking.. after awhile i just gave up and flew it anyways... any ideas?

315 woodies from Esky or from Align?

I had the exact same problem with Esky Woodies as well as Esky Carbon blades, to me they suck Arse, and i went with Align Glass Fiber 315's and never looked back.

Nothing i did could get the esky's to track properly.... Fitting the Align blades tracked perfectly and the heli flew totally different and steady.

I wouldnt suggest Esky blades to my worst enemy, i find them that bad.

I am actually having the same problem with the Align Pro 325 blades. The strange thing is that a couple of times I have gotten them to track right, then after a pack or two they are off. I think my problem is worn out dampers. Going to pick up some new ones today and see if it makes a difference.

definately dampers.

Another thing it could be for both you guys is the bearing in the grip, if one is gone bad the pitch will not move smoothly or evenly on both grips causing the problem as well.

My bro just had this problem on one grip where one of the bearings froze up completely and he wasnt getting proper pitch on one of the blades.

I just replaced the all the bearings in my blade grips because they were ratcheting like hell after my last crash.

Well then its dampers in your case.

all the problems you guys are having i also had tell i got completely frustrated with the Esky Head and went with a Trex head... The difference in stability and accuracy is like night and day.

Hmm... I've only had this heli for a couple weeks, what part is the damper exactly? Thanks for the tips!

Dampers is the Black Orings that you first slide on the feathering shaft before you put on anything else.

if you forgot to put them in that could also be your problem, if you only put in 1 thats definately your problem :)

Hey guys!

I borrow the thread a bit. I would like to know how hard I should tighten the feathering shaft bults, should them be as tight so the axel does not move or just a little bit?

I too have similar problem with my plastic belt, it works fine but when I look closley the blades does not track perfectly.

Thanx!

if you have the correct length feathering shaft (cnc head) it should tighten all the way down and grips still move freely.

if you have stock plastic head you just need to tighten them "Enough" so that there is no play in the grip and the grip still allowed to move freely.

Dampers aside, the best $7 you could ever spend as far as blade tracking is for the turnbuckle style ball link connector. It is sold as an upgrade for the HBK2 but also fits the Belt CP. They allow you to make minute adjustments in pitch without having to unsnap the links. I got some from U.S.HobbySupply.com

yes those are great, but i know this guys problem and even that wount fix it.

its a very weird thing, on mine 1/2 turn yielded the blade from being 1 inch below the other one to an inch over after the 1/2 turn.....

at some points (on mine anyways) as is spun up the blade would be below and then abruptly at a certain rpm it would POP up above the other blade. This was with the esky cnc though..... figured it was my setup but it wasnt as i didnt change a thing and tried the align fiber blades and all in the world was right again.
