Hi

I canīt decide if I should put about 1150 USD on my 15 year old Xcell (1001) sparemachine
or if I should put about 2550 USD on a brand new Xcell (Spectra or Stratus)

In both helis have I put the same servo (9252) and gyro (611)
In the old heli I have put an OS 70 and in the new one a OS 90 or Z231PUH

I do have an Xcell 60 1001 complete today.

What do you think is the "best" choice?
1. 2 old Xcellīs one with an OS60 and one with an OS70
2. 1 old Xcell (60) and one new Xcell (90 or Gas)

Spend the money Peanut. YOU KNOW thats what you really want to do or you wouldn't have wrote this in the first place. All of us here will support your decision I do believe. Sooooo go spend that cash and get your self a BRAND NEW heli.. WOOHOO!

Yes, thats what I really want BUT:
-Do the Spectra or Stratus fly 1400 USD better than the 1001?
- Is it worth spending 1150 USD on a 15 year or machine?

I have forgotten to tell that I am an inter median flier so no hard 3D flying
twisting the machine inside out if you know what I mean

I have a couple of Xcell 60's, and a fury, 90'd , and an extreme ... Guess which ones rarely get to the field ? lol.. both the old 60's have OS 70's in em , and fly well , but the furys and extremes , and stratus', fly REALLY well .......

btw there was , and I assume still is , an upgrade kit to take the 1001 to a fury ....

cheers...

1018-10 Fury 60 CCPM Conversion Kit Retail $489.95

You may still need some additional parts that are not provided in the conversion kit. To convert a 1001 kit to Fury.

Peanut why not buy a 2nd hand fury if you dont want to spend to much money, I bought mine for $700 from RR, It sounds like you must have most of the bits you need to complete the model already.

BTW spending $1100 on an old model does not sound like a good idea.

seeing as you can buy a new Stratus for similar money?
