Awwwwww man! :DOH
That is what I like about the hackers. They definitely work. I can't afford Schulze... I got an overheating shrink wrap melted off CC 35 that is about to get replaced by a Jazz this week. I can plug in the pack and the BEC is HOT after about 1 minute of it sitting on the bench in hold. Nice.... :arggg: I guess it is like anything else in helis, you get what you pay for....

It may be a bit premature, but I got a couple good flights on an Ion with a NEU 1521-1.5Y today. Performance is very good, I think right on par with a 32-3 but a good bit more efficient. 9.5 minutes of pretty good tossing around and the motor was at 160 degrees, and with no external cooling.
Lookin' good, we may get a motor made on this side of the pond yet.
Bobby, sorry to hear your HV110 didn't work...I think I must be the only guy who got one that works.

Hi Baja 170, Guess you think on a 42V Hacker esc., havent seen a 12S capable Hacker esc. yet.
Sorry to hear that SmithB. Maybe the expensive Schulce esc. is the only one on the market their for sure will be good for 12S at the moment.
Not too happy about to hear that, as I cant see I have other choices now than wait for a 12S controller that works, or to buy the Schulze one.
Thanks for the info Chris! look very much forward to hear some more about the NEU 1521-1,5Y.
Thanks!
Paul

Hi Baja 170, Guess you think on a 42V Hacker esc., havent seen a 12S capable Hacker esc. yet.
I am fully aware of the 10s limitation, but I was saying that it always works. Wish they had one that did 12s. I just don't want all the trouble and wasted flying time of the new CC ESC's. If I wanted to futz with the heli all the time I would just fly only glow. The thing I like best about the electrics is that if you take care of your packs, have a good charging regimen and PM the birds they fly the same (GREAT) every time. No muss no fuss. That is what I like best about Electrics.
Can't wait to hear how it goes Bobby or see the video!!! Can't wait to see!!
Chris that is GREAT news about the Neu!!! I to hope we get a good motor made on this side of the pond, and from what I have seen and heard of Steve's service, it will be GREAT to buy from him.
Hi Baja170...think I just missed your point, sorry for that.
I totally agree with you here, actually it could as well have been my words ;-).
When I think back when I had these greasy greasers, it was nothing but one never ending mess with everything, have never logged so many hours since I converted to electric.
Electric is the future, especially here in Europe where the fuel cost are double, and the noise problems triple compared to USA.
Only nice thing about greasers are that it looks and sounds great when Alan makes his low level chaos 50% embedded in a big nice smelling nitro cloud :-).
Me too. cant wait to see the video, great that somebody pave the road for us here.
I too think my NEU motors are the best.

NEU 1521/1.5Y ION motor
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well i just got back form the feild and i flew my Neu Ion on 10s and Chriss had his Ion on 10s and all i can say is WOW! We have a motor that will outperform the 32-3 in the ION and the sweet part is it will drop right in the standard 2 stage Ion frames
Hope fully i can round up a 12s controller and get mine on 12s by next weekend
I will try and get the video posted tonight after each flight motors was cold enough to drop in my soda all i can say is Way to go Steve and Gary!!
Chris will also have some data to post here as well
