I moved the "Dog bone link" out on the double ball and to the outside hole on the mixer arm. HOLY CRAP!!! What was insane is now just "Off scale high"..
The cyclic rate is just flat WOW. My "skills" are completely out of whack now as it is easly 2 1/2 to 3 times faster in the time it takes to do a back flip on this Raptor 90.
I is sooooo Happy with this. I nearly lost it doing my first figure 8, it rolled up on its side so quick, it looked like I was considering doing inverted figure 8s the opposite way I had planned.
I also nearly lost it again doing my first auto with this head. I set up for the backwards tail slide auto. As it slid downhill, tail in, towards my left side, at head high I started adding forward cyclic to bring the tail up and stop my forward motion. Instead of a nice fluid motion, I added too much cyclic and held it too long and the bird ended up chest high, with the rotor disk dang near knife edge and the nose pointed at the dirt! On the upside, the cyclic is so quick I rolled to a level disk in the blink of an eye.
Its literally a new bird. The cyclic is so fast, that while I find myself over controlling, it also allows more time to correct for an error. I started off with a bunch of expo, but I flew the last flights with zero expo, I just don't like the feeling of a non linear response.
If you have a Raptor 60/90, you should reward yourself at some point in time by acquiring this head!
