Anyone know what causes the 401 Gryo to be blinking on power up with the R221 RX. I never seemed to have this issue with the AR7000 RX, but now almost every time I power up my Gasser the Gryo blinks. If I turn it off and power up again the light comes on solid like it should in HH.
Does anyone know what the blinking is telling me?
Any Ideas?

I think the blinking light means the 401 did not initialize properly. I have the same issue with mine. Nine out of ten times, I get the blink. I then de-energize it momentarily. When I re-energize it, the light is almost always steady.

Put the transmitter switch that controls the gyro in Heading Hold.
Rebind the reciever.
Problem solved.
The receiver sends out the fail safe to the servos till the receiver connects which happens slower than it takes to boot the gyro. By rebinding you will change the fail safe position of the gyro switch to heading hold instead of rate mode.

Andy,
Thanks, I'll try that.

Lou,
I'd be interested to know whether or not that works for you. (I have always had my Tx Gyro control set to HH and have bound my Rx and Tx several times in the past.)
