Hello,
I was considering getting the redline .53 to replace my o.s. 50 and i was just wondering if anyone knew if it was compatable with all the parts i currently have. Mainly the clutch fan. I hear that its more powerful than the .50 and i just want to see for myself. Any personal experience with the .53 would be appreciated also. ( how it compares to the o.s. hyper.)
thanks,

Hey collegeboy. I have been running the RL 53 for about 2 months now. She is one sweet motor. I run CYB 30%, run the high speed needle at 21/4 from closed, and the low speed at 1/4 richer than the factory setting. Have about 2 gallons of fuel through her. Your clutch, fan are compatible, and either the Hatori pipe or the MP 50 work just great. You can't run the stock TT 50 muffler due to lack of volume, and over heating, no matter how rich you run her. I think the power and fuel consumption is a little better than the OS 50, but she is about an ounce lighter than the OS and she has a ton of top end power. One thing to be careful of is when you put your glo plug in, make sure your threads are lined up properly. I stipped them one day when putting in a new one. Other than that, I think it is an excellent motor. Hope this helps.

i've been running my .53 for about 4 months now. i run cp 20% and have over 70 tanks through it with the stock tt muffler and radix 600's. the only problem i ever had with over heating was due to crappy stock fuel line collapsing and leaning out. the motor is a power house, it wont bog down. 11 deg +- pitch. i would like to try a different pipe though, stock pipe sounds like a pissed off weed waker. :YeaBaby:
