"More ... power ... Scottie!" "Um geevin ur all she's goot captain. I doon't knoow how much moore see can teke!"

What are you targetting for ideal head-speed? I didn't know any better when I initially built my 600, so I set my t-curve too high. I was running over 3k. Can you say; Raped F_____g Ape?!?!?! I dropped my t-curve down to 68% flat. That mellowed it down to 2300rpm. That made it easier to adjust to. Now I'm just wondering what a good happy medium is for general sport flight.

Any thoughts?

2000 is doing great for me, virtually same setup, except I'm doing V-Bar. I originally had around 2600, so I have a slight clue of the WOW that you're talking about ;)

What pinion are you guys using with the Tango 45-07? I'm running a 13 with a flybar.

I'm using the 13t also. It was the smallest one I could find atr the time. I did see a 12t Herrinbone Mod .7 at RC Flight Store. I'd like to get my t-curve up closer to 90%. I believe the motor would be happier there.

13T here, and finding no reason to go to 12T. It works, and works well, even at a 65% throttle curve.

I had heard someone's comment that lower tooth count makes it more prone to strip gears, so I figured as long as there's nothing wrong with the 13T setup, I'm not going to worry about it.

Of course, my Neu 1912/1Y/H is still calling to me, with promises of massive power...
