I recently started getting an error message on both of my TP1010c's. It happens several minutes into charge on different charge configurations. (one 3s, two 3s in series, 5s, 10s) It stops charging, beeps and shows the message ".2v imbalance" but the batteries are within spec. I've had the whole set-up for about a year. I guess the batteries could be getting old.

Has anyone encountered this?

At what charge rate is your charger set? 1C, 2C, 3C? What happens if you use a lower charge rate?

If the packs get too far out of balance the charge stops to prevent damaging the packs.

I have been charging at 1C. I am currently experimenting with a lower charge rate to test.

How would an imballance occur durring a charge cycle while connected to TP21v Ballancers? I amcertain everything is wired correctly. Could this be a product of extended use or aging batteries?

Possible one of your cells has gone bad, have you noticed the power was out of the heli during that pack ?

Well this is odd! My E4 inexplicably lost power recently while spinning up - three times. It was powered by one of the 3s Evo25 2170's that I'm experiencing this condition with. But, my 10s Evo's are much newer and less used and I've experienced the condition with at least one of them as well. Is this the sort of issue that Flight Power might warrantee?

Have you tried checking the voltage of the pack and the individual cells with a volt-meter?

Just locally I know of at least 3 TP-210v balancers that have failed. One of them taking several packs with it. I would double check the balancers work...

The balancers are definately suspect. I'm keeping a close eye on them.

Thanks all! I'll keep you posted.

Connect your balancer to your batteries by itself and see what you get. They disconnect and try again. I notice with mine that the connectors are worn and I get an imbalance first but usually everything is ok after a second connect.

I look at the connectors under a microscope and they get pretty worn over some time. It's too bad Thunder Power couldn't find and use better quality connectors!

When you connect up to the pack if everything is in balance the yellow light should come on with the others depending on how many cells there are. For a slight imbalance the yellow light will be off the the red LEDs will blink hopefully only 5 times.

If the balance is really bad the red LEDs will blind for up to a minute (60 times).

This is how I interpret the instructions.....at least with my TP-205.

I am still having the issue. I'll try this.
