what are the specs on it and how many A ESC will you use?

Eyon
07-04-2008, 06:04 AM
specs are:

-up to 3kW (will push much further, hacker ALWAYS understates his motors)
-640Kv
-6mm shaft, hardened with pre-ground flat
-25mm shaft (will fit through counterbearing i think)
-465g in weight
-55mm diameter
-8 pole

Will be using a PJ :)

woweewah that a heavy motor

LITHIUMSTATIC
07-05-2008, 04:06 AM
465 grams..... talk about mamoth. I bet they make a smaller one that will make more than enough power.

Eyon

ill have to double check it, it certainly doesnt feel that heavy to be fair.

It has all the right specs to be an epic motor for the Logo, and its not exactly like the logo will suffer from another 200g of weight if its added.

The A40 ET is perfect for 6s on the Logo 500, i have 6 packs lying about for the L500, i really need to re-build it

wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow!

this motor is incredible! after 7 minutes of a trim flight (flips and pitch pumping), it was dead cool, and the power, the power was just INCREDIBLE!!!

no joking, this is THE motor for the logo 600, cant wait to give it a spin tomorrow in an open area!

All the best.

This isn't a true turbine motor, is it? I thought turbine motors work by compressing air. What is it that makes this motor function differently? Or is it just a newer, improved, more powerful version of a standard brushless motor with a misleading label?

Curious!

I know little about this motor but this is what I've heard. It's an Out runner inside a can with a special cooling system that moves a vast amount of air to run very cool. As great as the motor is I feel it's mislabeled as a marketing tool. Correct me if I'm wrong......

Still it's a neat motor and I'm sure worth owning.

its just a motor :)

the ducting looks like a turbine, it revvs like a turbine, and it has the power of a turbine. its great!! Video very soon, but it is just crazy crazy power. to top it off, it runs barely warm too, virtually no heat in it

Eyon
07-09-2008, 02:45 PM

16 tooth gives enough headspeed?? I ask as others with Orbit at 685kv are running 17tooth goverened.....

Eyon

it seems to work. i dont run crazy head speeds, v-bar just doesnt need it, as you well know. it just seems to work, and with no bog, it feel so punchy
