I am new to the ESky. I have read here that the TRex canopy will fit. I figure that the CopterX canopy will also, but was wondering if anyone here had used one.

Yes it will fit.
I have copterX canopy on my birds, found them looking nicer than the Trex... picture in my avatar is CopterX canopy.

I also have a copterX canopy, along with the canopy mounting poles these are optional but worth the $2 or $3. You will need to add the holes in the canopy to mount it. It will also give you more room to mount your battery forward for proper CG!

I received my canopy today. I'll post some pics tonight after work. It looks really nice except for 2 spots where the paint had cracked. Is this the norm? The first one is on the top/aft of where the "Canopy glass" would be and the second is on the side below where the mount location would be. I'm thinking that some clear over it would work. I figure for the price it is a good looking deal. If it was more expensive I would definitely send it back. Just wondering about your experiences.

I wouldn't worry if the cracks aren't very noticable. It will end up with cracks in it all over it in the end because it will slowly get battered. But thats not to worry about because you will have to crash it hard and frequently before it gets really bad.
Looking forward to the pics.

Hey Cobra not to worry mine came with a crack all the way down in front of where the hole should go. It's fine! Yep, I want to see the pics too!

Here it is. I put clear nail polish on the cracks to keep them from getting any worse. You can barely see them now. I painted the horizontal/vertical stabs, flybar paddles, and tail rotors with Tamiya paints. I plan to keep it like this until I get proficient enough at flying to put a MD500 fuselage on it.

Looking good... and nice high-visibility color schemes, too
Just a heads up on the MD500, cobra314 - the left servo linkage will interfere with the fuselage, so you need to do the DTS mod first when the time is ripe.
