Working on setting up the electronics on my MS CH46 before I start the Twinn Rexx.

I have 2 of the TH2 mixers. One I got used, but supposedly working and the other is brand new order with the Twinn Rexx. If I put the used one on I get no movement of the servos from DCP. If I take the new one, load the same constants and plug it in on the expander board on the CH46 I do get DCP movement. All other channels on the used one seem to work fine with servo movement for aileron, elevator, rudder, and pitch.

Is there something I am missing or do I have a bum TH2? If the TH2 is bad, are repairs available or do I just scrap the used one and figure it was sold because it had problems?

Usually electronic things either work or don't work at all ... I would check the parameters inside of the one that work against the one that doesn't ... could be something isn't loading quite right .....

or maybe check to make sure the wires are all o.k. on the servo hook ups of the one that doesn't work .You might have a broken wire or bad solder joint on that one .

You'll also want to make sure the DCP gyro initialized correctly.

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried it without the gyro just to eliminate that issue. Thought about the wiring, but I was changing the processor board only and using the same expander board. So the when it worked and when it didn't was the same wiring.

Contacted Joe directly. He suggested reloading the program and the constants and trying again. Same issue. So the board is on the way back to Joe for further diagnosis.

Thanks,

TH2 went back to Joe. Problem ended up being a cold solder joint on the input pin of the DCP to the processor.

Joe once again delivered the incredible service he is well known for. Thanks.
