First, thanks for the honest answers to my 700 vs A#$%^A post.
Here's my question seeing that you have a 700 to confirm with....
Would it work to run a mini servo for throttle out of one of the mixture serrvo mounts(moved to the other side of course)? would the links clear the header and canopy standoffs?
thanks

I'm sure this will fit since the servo size is the same for T600N, I think the T700N is a little wider since Bob did not mention modifying the frame for the 8717/8900 in his video, I had to widen the frame opening for the servo for my 8900 to fit in the T600N.

not sure if those will work because of throttle is now in the plastic radio tray not in the side frames like the 600. I could be wrong but I don't think there is anything for for those back plates to clamp onto...thats why I asked about using a mixture control mount.

If you took the idle mixture servo plate and flipped it to the other side then YES I think you can get the linkage to clear the canopy pin. It does on the other side for the mixture (carb smart servo).
BUT this plate is for a MICRO servo like a HS-65MG or something. A mini-servo wont fit without modifying the plate. Second WHY do you want to do this? Just use a full sized low end heli servo... Heck a 9252 you can get for $55!!!

I thought of doing it for weight, but then came to my senses b/c #1 what's another ounce or so. Plus I'm not a great pilot anyway, so it would just be one of those things where I wanted to tinker to do something different. In the end, I trust a full size decent quality servo more than a cheap micro. 9252 would make a good throttle servo :). I have one on my 600N pro, well all the way around cyclics and throttle :).
I think sometimes people get on thought tangents hehe!

Is this the price you pay for it or can any other Bobby get it for this price also?
Thanks

My local hobby shop sells them for that... Actually $59
Heliproz has them for $68 and I know I have seen them for sale on other sites for $60.

I would not use 9252's for cyclic when you could get a 9452, more speed more torque and MG.
