looking at the specs you will never need to replace those hitecs till ya destroy them.their faster than most tail servos :rolling

the 9254's perfect with the 401 for the tail.the hitecs seem kind of overkill.i'd be tempted to put them in a safe place for later and put 3 hyperion atlases or futaba 3001s or 3151s or something along those lines.0.08 seems pretty quick on your cyclic for basic flying.some of the other boys might have a better idea.........

but to answer your original question... yes, they'll work.. for basic flight all the way to advanced hard core 3D

If that tail servo is the S9252 it is too slow for a good tail servo. If it is a S9254, it is a great tail servo.

Small number difference, but BIG difference in performance.

The HS6965s are very good cyclic servos.

no. my mistake bro.i saw 9254..........you need something faster for your tail.check the servo the hyperion http://www.allerc.com/product_info.php?products_id=3489 seems to be a good one for a good price.it will be faster than your cyclics  and runs 6v no need for stepdowns etc

The tail servo is the one that you don't want to cheap out on.

It has to be fast, and strong enough, and they get worked VERY hard. Personally, I only use deisgned for tail servo use tails servos.

You can find S9254s for sale about $60.
