Is this the best kept secret in R/C helis? How do I programme the stock speed controller (12A) for the EP-200. I'm desperate to get this thing in the air but can't find instructions anywhere! Any help much appreciated.

After a bit of trial and error with the motor (didn't know which wires were which as they're all black) and reversing the throttle channel I got her airborne. Definitely twitchier than the T-Rex 450 but managed a bit of forward flight and nose in before the battery on the tranny ran out. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

All you need do to reverse the motor direction is to switch two of the motor wires.

I wondered about that and thought I'd tried all combinations. I was setting the speed controller up with the throttle stick at 100% but as soon as I started to bring it down the motor fired up. Perhaps I'll try again in the morning, do you know which wires to swap?

It makes no odds Stu, all you're doing is reversing one of the phases... so pick any 2 wire pairs and swap them like Buzz says... the motor will then turn the other direction. Am i reading this right... you reversed the throttle channel and so the motor spooled up as you dropped the stick!!!?? Hey i gotta hand it to you for getting it Airborne set up like that and even more for not crashing it

Sounds like the transmitter throttle chanel needs to be reversed. Changing wires reverses rotition, but if the motor spools up when you bring the stick down, then the tx needs reversing.

Yes, I had to reverse the throttle channel as it was working in the opposite direction. Reversing the motor wires just made it rotate the wrong way. I'll leave it as is.
