I recently purchased an older X-Cell graphite SE circa 1999 from a local guy. I was intending on finishing it but thinking of selling and getting a gasser instead. I'm interested in the Intrepid Gas but would like to see what the mechanics/layout looks like under the canopy. On the Bergen web site I can't seem to find any images. Where can I see close-ups of the layout/mechanics? Also what are the pro's/con's between the Intrepid Gas and Gas EB? Thanks!

For really detailed Pics, you can download the manuals......http://bergenrc.com/Manuals.php .
The Gasser and the EB are the same bird except for,
The Gasser has a 33" Tail Boom and uses 710-720mm rotor blades.
The Gas EB has a 37" Tail Boom and uses 800-810mm rotor blades.

Chris...Thanks for the info! What's the advantage of running a longer boom and blades on the EB? Better stability? Thanks!

My understanding from asking that same question is, 800 mm blades give you greater lifting capacity for camera work, whereas the 710 mm blades with shorter boom make you more agile in the air. Sport flying ect. Now I've also been told that the EB does everything the 710 will do just slower and more gracefully. I have not seen this first hand but certainly plan to in the near future. hope this helps and is accurate.

That would depend on what kind of flying you want to do.
The EB is generally intended for AP work, carrying an underslung camera mount. It also makes for a BIG, smooth, steady flyer for general sport flying. Autorotations are an all day long affair with the huge rotor disk.
