Hi I just got a new E-Sky Belt CP I haven't flown her yet as I am still learning to hover on my Axe CP and I figured I rather crash on the old heli and spend more time on the FMS SIM before I fly the Belt CP. I had purchased a FUTABA GY240 for the Axe but never completed the install because I didn't order the ESC for it. My question is will the 240 work with the standard E-Sky TX unit, and also the Belt CP manual states that channel 5 is to be used for the HH gyro and Channel 4 is for the standard gyro. The Futaba install instructions say to connect the GY240 to channel 4 on the reciever so I am a little confused as to which channel I should connect the GY240 to? Also do you think I should use the standard E-Sky gyro when I first fly the bird or should I upgrade to the GY240 for my first flight ( which will most likely be a 3-4 ft. hover?)
Thanks

I'd keep the Belt completely stock at first, simply because it gives you a baseline of the stock flight characteristics and makes troubleshooting easier.
As soon as you add non-stock parts you add complexity and another possible source of trouble.
The stock Belt is just fine for learning on.
Once you get some stick time on it, and you've got the setup nailed, then start upgrading.

Plug the 240 into the 4th slot and it works great on the belt.

Hi Jack and Tom thanks for the advice and info it will come in handy when I do the upgrade. The advice you gave me Jack is what I figured I should do get some stick time and get to know the Belt first, it's good sound advice! I have had my had my hands full with the Axe CP it seems I am always flying the tail, that's why I bought the GY240 Helimax reccomends it to make the bird more stable, but the E-Sky Belt caught my eye and I just had to get it, I think it's a beauty and well put together a good bang for the buck My Axe CP cost me the same! and I am sure it a much more stable bird to fly with the belt drive tail! Well back to the SIM and thanks so much for the help guys!
