1) V blades for stratus 690 or 710? They don't make 700mm
2) what is the root size for the blades? "Available with 12, 14, 16, 17 and 18 mm root sizes"
3) What paddles size is best? "Available in lengths of 80, 85, 90, and 95mm"
The flybar is 4mm that much I know
4) and while I am at it the tail blade would be 105mm right?
Thanks for future answers

2.) 14mm root
3.) 95m paddles
4.) 105mm tail blades
Vic is making a "new" set of V-Blades that you will want. I'm not sure when they will be available to distributors so call him direct and place your order.

i have 690 V's i have just put on my fury extreme... you have to rev them harder for the tail to work.. but geez they bite nice :D
you can really feel your pitch curve with V's i had a rough set up with my carbontechs and when i put the v's on man you could feel it was crap

realflight are you referring to the V2 when you are saying that Vic is making new blades?

Vic has just finished a "new" design of the V2 blades. Zak will get his blades tomorrow and will be ROCKIN the Stratus this weekend. Vic and Alan spent several weeks designing the new blades - quieter and more efficient that the previous V2s (Alan's dad posted a video of Alan testing them on RR  ). The new airfoil will be used in all blades from now on - 710s are done and the others are being finished now (Vic told Zak that he is finishing the 600s and will have them ready soon). Call Vic for the details.

Puttputtmaru,
You may also consider Curtis's new Radix blades. The performance is very good and all combinations of shims and 3mm as well as 4mm adaptors are provided. I saw Dino over at EastCoastExtreme as them advertised for $99.99 which is a very respectable price. I would always recommend supporting your local and / or online hobby shops as without them we would not have parts or an easy source for quality advice. Right now only 710's and 105's are available which is what most run on the Stratus / Extreme / Tempest anyway.

As Robert stated we are flying the above dimensions on the Stratus and also this is what we flew on the Tempest and Extreme. Eric is a Rep for Curtis's new Blades so don't think he is Hijacking this V-Blades post ........he is just letting everyone know that the Radics fly good also. I received several emails about this and there are different types of Blades out there for different pilots. I personally like the V-Blades and I have flown the new proto-types and the are off the hook. I guess they will be available soon and everyone can see for themselves. I m sure Eric will even try a set as he likes to maintain perspective on the industry so he has accurate information for everyone out there. I am sure he will see a noteable difference in the new V-Blades also, he may even think they too fly Great. I am glad that we all have many choices in this great Hobby.

? odd post and I am not sure why that was posted in public but I guess I must have ruffled some feathers... That was sure not my intention and I apologize to those offended.
Vic has a great blade and he is a nice guy. I would not say anything against his products as he makes a very high quality blade. His design philosophy is different than others out there that manufacture blades. Because several MFG decided to build their blades with different techniques they will fly differently. V-Blades, SAB, MAH, and Radix blades will have different properties for many reasons. Not only will airfoil, cord, and c.g. have an effect but also construction methods. We have ton's of quality choices now vs just a few years ago.
Since Clint brought it up, for the record I flew V-Blades as a team pilot for the last 3-4 years. I have decided to make a change and I am flying the Radix blades now. The reasons where covered in the paragraph above. Vic will be making his blades to suit the types of flying qualities that he wants his blades to be best at. V-Blades are the best at some things but may not be as strong in other areas. That is true about all of the different quality blades. The reason I decided to fly the Radix blades is that they suit my flying style and stress what I feel is important. That makes sense since I have always liked Curtis's flying style and he would of course design the blades to be the best for his style of flying.
Choosing a blade to fly? Heck fly what you think is best. I have been around long enough to have made many sets of my own wood blades along the way and if that is your choice then cool, as it is a hobby. All of the for mentioned blades are very high quality and you will not go wrong with any of them. They all have strengths and weaknesses.
I do however believe that we need to support our local and online hobby shops by purchasing merchandise from them. The local and online shops are part of the reason we have so many choices and options. We can also find our choice as best shops and rely on them for quality advice and information.
take it easy,
