Hi,

I bought a set of carbon fiber blades for my Belt.

They don't fit though. They are too narrow for the blade holders.

Am I supposed to use the grips from the wooden blades with the carbon fiber blades?

Heli Yea!

You need to put in 1mm spacers or small metal washers. One on top and one on the bottom of the blades inside the grips. You can buy them here: http://www.ushobbysupply.com/product_info.php?cPath=56&products_id=626&osCsid=e021ceca33d2a18c86750bfe73c0e637

I can't tell from the pic if your's has plastic or CNC blade grips, may make no difference anyway?

I have CNC grips and did this mod to get some 'Align Pro325 Blades' to fit the Belt's CNC blade grips.

You will need a spare pitch linkage rod from the blade grips - you know the one you can't adjust!

With a pair of pliars and stanley knife, I carefully cut off the links at each end and I used these as the spacers (caliper reading was 2.3mm I think!! I've done my 4th battery with this mod and only blade tracking is a bit out, just not got round to trying to correct it yet, as I have bigger issues to deal with first!

Also, try this other free mod - try cutting off 2x5mm lengths of the antenna tube - then push them over the canopy mounting bar (used adjustable spanner & pliars to push them up), it holds the bar in place a treat, and gets rid of nearly all the vibration from the canopy!
