I need a little help please.I've been flying with the dx6i and now upgraded to dx7. when i do my range test with the 7 i'm only getting about 5 paces b4 i loose signal.i've been flying with the 7 for about 2 months and never did a range test:bomb:.i guess u can say i had a lot of confidence in the technology.i do the same range test with the same receivers on the 6i and i get the 30 paces ur supposed to get. i have a 6100,6200, and a 7000, so ive done some troubleshooting and came up with the assumption its problably the tx and should send to horizon. what do you guys think?

I'd send it to Horizon.
First, I'd do a basic check: Take the back off and look at the antenna coax. Pinched anywhere? Send it in. Connector on the end secure to the fitting on the board? If not, snap it down... and if that one thing cures it, keep the radio.
Otherwise, send it in. Not worth risking your stuff, and Horizon is really good about warranty repair.

Mine does the same, i didn't care, and fly anyway, never had any problems, can't recommend it, though:P

There's a guy at our field that just bought a new everything. He's just getting into the hobby, and we did a range test during the pre-flight for his maiden. He had the same problem. Using my radio, and trying a couple others his receiver and setup looked otherwise good.
He took the radio back to the LHS, got another, and... SAME THING! Next time around he took it to the LHS and tested there, and looks like he got a good one. Seems like maybe they put out a bad batch or something...
