What I am about to admit will make me look like a total moron, and that fact has kept me grounded for a month now. I dropped tons of money on a new carbon t-rex 600 electric, a new JR 9303 2.4 and a huge 6 cell TP Lipo. I am so embarrassed because I have always been a good engineer type and have always figured stuff out on my own(read usually figure things out =))

I can't figure out how to get my cyclic/pitch servos to move in the correct direction. I have done every reverse/normal switch position in the book. When the elevator is correct, the pitch or ailerons aren't and vice versa. Can someone help a dummy set up his radio correctly?? Because I actually give up.

I am using a JR X9303 2.4 with the JR R921 2.4 receiver. I'm using Futaba S3050 servos, 3 on the swash and have the swash switch set to the 3 servo, 120 degree setting.

Any help would be more than a little appreciated--I will feel indebted to you forever because if I don't fly this thing soon I am going to grab it by the tail and beat it against the side of my house until it's in more pieces than it was as a kit, or it looks like a half eaten turkey drumstick!!

have you tried reversing the plus or minus values in your swash mix?
In other words if your pitch is backwards go into the swash mix menu and change the pitch
setting to the oppositte of what it is now..ie if it's +60 now change it to -60
You can do the same for ail and elevator as well if needed.

Hope this helps

Yeah, the problem is in your swash mix, where it says +60% for The three values, try playing around with those to -60% and see what you can come up with. Good luck

The CCPM deal is a 2-step setup. Starting from a reset TX and the collective stick (throttle) in the center, the first step is to get the servos moving in the correct differential manner, and the second step is to get that to result in the correct direction on the swash.

For the first step, the two outside servos (aileron and pitch channels) should move in opposite directions when the cyclic stick is moved left/right. Don't worry about which way the servos move, just that they move in opposite directions. If they were connected to the swash they should tilt the swash left/right. If this is not the case, then reverse the servo (either the aileron or the pitch) at the TX. Then move the cyclic up/down and the two outside servos should move together - in the same direction - while the center servo (elevator) moves in the opposite direction. Again, don't worry about which way they move, just that the outside servos move together and opposite to the center servo. If this is not the case then reverse the elevator servo in the TX. If connected to the swash, this should tilt the swash fore/aft.

The next step is to get the servos moving in the correct direction. For this, go to the mixing menu. Here you have elevator and aileron and pitch. Now move the cyclic left/right and the swash should follow. If this is not the case, then reverse the sign of aileron mixing. For example, if it was +80 change it to -80. And check cyclic fore/aft. If the swash moves the wrong way reverse the sign of the elevator mixing. And check the collective (throttle stick). If the swash moves the wrong way then reverse the sign of the pitch mixing.

I like to get that much done without hooking up the servos to the swash. I just put the servo arms on without the screw so that I can see which way they move. In this way nothing gets jammed while getting the servos set up.

Finless Bob ( heli God ! ) solved it with his superb set of vidio's.Well worth the time to watch & learn.Don't give up the feeling of solving this is fab!

This part is easy. Plug all the servos into the Rx and turn on your Tx and Rx. Move the left stick up and down. Make note of the one servo that's moving opposite the other two.

Go into the radio and reverse that channel and move the left stick again. All three servos should be moving in the same direction. Doesn't matter if it's the wrong direction, just that they're moving in the same direction. You're done with servo reversing for the cyclic.

Open the swash menu and set the cursor on PITCH. Move the left stick up. The swash should move up. If not, change the current value to it's opposite (i.e if it's currently +60%, change it to -60%) value. Once you've got the servo moving up when you move the left stick up, change to AIL in the swash menu.

Move the right stick to the left or right. The swash shouls tilt the same direction when viewed from the rear. If not, change the AIL value in the swash menu to the opposite.

Same for ELE. Move the right stick forward, the swash should tilt forward. If not, change the value.

Once you've got everything moving in the proper direction, you can set up the head.

Thanx so much for all the responses. With all of your help I'll finally get to crash this thing--and much sooner than I thought! A nice thing for you all to do would be to go ahead and post suggestions on the best way to fix a smashed-up T-rex 600--no reason to wait 'till the last second, right? =)

Even easier.

1. Remove damaged parts
2. Replace now missing parts
3. Fly.

:)
