I recently purchased a Swift 16 kit with the intent of putting it in the Augusta USCG fuselage similar to what Rotorsport had done.
However it appears that I have a dead ESC - when plugged in to the LiPO it doesn't make any beeps or even power up the reciever.
Has anybody else had a similar experience? Just wondering if it is a common problem and/or if there is a common mistake I'm making that others had gone through...
It is the Electron 50/60 ESC that comes with the Swift kit...

Are you using a seperate battery pack for the receiver or are you using the BEC in the ESC?
What TX and RX?

Used it with the ESC powering the Rx first - no response. I then also tried it by powering the Rx with a seperate battery (and removing the power lead coming from the ESC connector - same problem. No beeps on the ESC.
I use the JR X9303 2.4 with the R921 Rx...

As the trouble shooting guide in the instructions state, first go over ALL connections to be sure non are revered in polarity etc.
With the separate battery - do you get any response from the eCCPM servos?
If not then it is a RX to TX problem - the RX is not recognizing the signal from the TX.
If the eCCPM servos are working but no response from the ESC, then the ESC may be reading your throttle as being full open instead of full closed, so it will not respond - try reversing the throttle.
I would suggest that you try this with the motor pinion moved away from the main gear.

True true, the Century ESC will not arm if
A. there is no signal going to it from the receiver.
B. that signal (throttle) is not at it lowest point.
This is for our safety so it could look to one as dead if the above test are not met.
Hope that helps. Also the sounds you will hear (beeps) are actually coming from the motor. (free speakers :) ) So if it is not arming there will be no power to the motor and thus no sounds.
