I have a Shogun V1 now. I'm looking to get something else about the same size. I would like this new Heli to be better than the Shogun. I saw a Shogun V2 out there but not sure if that would be better. Also, trying to use the same electronics in the new heli. There are so many new heli's out there I was looking for advice. T-rex, ark400, hornet, 3Dpro, ex...

T-Rex hands down. The best sub micro heli running right now. the 450XL I've been waiting to get mine untill all the new updates were done, now they have a great machine out of the box.

I think too is the T-REX 450 XL is the best one... 3D Pro is good in paper, but I haven't see anybody do hard 3D with one. So, at this time, is my opignion.

IMO the Trex is not a sub-micro (ore even a plain old micro). it's a whole class size larger than the shogun, 3dpro, hornet, etc.
i'd call it a mini. but, that's a discussion for another thread.
anyway, if you're looking for a 3d-able machine out of the box, i've heard very good things about the laheli maxir. i don't have one. but, it's creeping slowly to the top of my short list.

I will agree that the T-Rex is the best available. But the Shogun V2 is vastly improved over the V1 and you will be able to use the same motor, servos, and battery. That's what I did and I'm very happy with my Shogun V2 even if it's not in the same class as the T-Rex.
