Hello guys,

I've been offered some JR DS 821 for my EP550, to replace the Maxwell ones that came with the package. Are these suitable servos? I don't fly 3D.. just nice scale type flight with my attempts at stall turns... and one day, I will attempt a loop..

Are these suitable, and do they fit like a glove? And would they make a difference to the feel of my heli? I hear better (then the Maxwell ones) make you feel more attached...

I did... :)
One guy moaning about his breaking on a .50 nitro.... :arggg:

But general seems they're quite popular on the EP550... So looks like they're good for me.

I did exatly that switch, and are very happy with it.

The DS821 also fit much better in the geometry to the links, and are more precise.
Mine came from my DX7-kit.

And no, they are not strong enough to fit in a nitro, but I think I read somewhere that the problem was that the screw that hold the servoarm are to short for a nitro, it will came loose do to vibrations. I think ReadyHeli sells a longer replacement bolt for that use.

i fly 3d with mine and they are fine... i just upped my cycle numbers and have the 600 flybar with green paddles at 2500 rpm to get a faster roll and flip :)
