+1 I'd get Savox 1258TG for cyclic and Savox 1290MG for tail though, there the same as the Align, but you won't ruin your heli ;)

I have the 610s and 620s in my 550s. Sure they like to eat a lot of power but if you power them with a quality BEC (e.g. super mini BEC) then you won't have anything to worry about. No brown outs with the super mini.

Lazor: I read lots of threads on servos and decided on these because of response time and price. I was planning on getting an external BEC anyway. I think having these servos just means I need one that can handle the power draw.

Is that what you're referring to?

Lazors comment is about it being WRONG to put Align parts on an Outrage... Like putting Chevy parts on a Ford.

I meant you don't have to have anything that says align on your heli lol. They are good servos but they are rebagged Savox. The Savox look cooler and you can probably find them cheaper (unless you buy the aligns used or something) and they have a better wire color IMO. Savox also makes Spektrums new servos, so there the same. (not the crappy clear ones).

In short Savox 1258TG are the ORIGINAL servos align and spektrum just rebranded them (align ds610, not sure The spektrum number) and 1290MG are the same as the ds650. Take a look at them if you havn't bought the aligns yet. I am using the 1258TG on cyclic.

And FYI, dodge>chevy>ford :P

I completely read his post wrong. My bad. I thought he was referring to the brown out issue when using those servos. That's what I get for responding to a post at 3:20 am.

If you look at this post, you will see I agree...

ahhh!

Got it.

If the savox is the same as the align though (and the specs are almost exactly the same) does the savox also pull a lot of power for operation?

Yes, Savox makes them and sells them as there on, Align & Spektrum get them to make some with there cases on them and then they sell them at a slightly higher cost. (although you can find Aligns pretty cheap in the FS forum and if you use them for cyclic servos and you use the wheels you won't really see Align. But you will on the Tail servo, which is Blasphemy! Just kidding but look,

Sure they look the same, but how do you know that they are the exact same servo? Where are you getting your information?

Oh no I meant look how cooler the Savox look.

But it is known information that Savox makes Align Servos and some of the Spektrum servos. Plus readyheli also states it in the information.

Cool...thanks for posting that. I've heard people say that these servos were the same before but I've never seen anything concrete (until now) that stated it.

Yep,

So the point of my original post-

If you have yet to buy your servos, I would go for the Savox 1258TG on cyclic, and 1290MG on tail. They are the same as the Aligns, just have cooler looking cases :) (I have the 1258TG on my cyclics)
