View Full Version : Extreme Kaos Help.
I would like to try Kaos on my Extreme (8.36). But too scarly. I have been using Raptor 50SE with red dampenner to practices. Got it about 80% on the Raptor. Using Freya 70, it is much easier to do Kaos on this bird and it look much better, after 10 flight of Kaos, I did a boom strike. (I think my headspeed is too low (1750)). Now I want to try it on my Extreme (8.36) but too scarly for me. The head speed is 1780. Any recommendation before I would try to do Kaos on this Extreme.

What kind of head dampeners and shims are you currently using?
When practicing your chaos, make sure that you do not load down the motor too much. If you do not bog the motor, your machine will stay in one piece. When you bog the motor, a blade can lag or even come down and catch the boom (boomstrike). Just keep practicing with the 50 and you will know when you are ready.
I am using a stock dampeners but I can not remember which shims I used. I should get a new dampeners this Friday. You are right. I should practice on my 50 to get 100% sure on chaos before I do on Extreme.

just go easy on the cyclic and pitch control at first... crank headspeed up if frightened about it...
i do it alot and absolutely love doing them on my extreme... just waiting for my stratus to be run in so i can do it on that
you shouldn't have a problem just don't use like full deflection of cyclic and pitch at one time..
hope this helps
good luck cheers,
