Some of you guys go give your head block a wiggle and see if it's loose. Grab the grips and try to make it teeter-totter. Mine has a bit of slop in it with only two tanks run thru it. I'm wondering if this normal, or maybe I need to crank the bolt down a bit tighter. I don't want to strain it so it breaks in flight.

Just tried mine. No movement what so ever.

I actually had the same issue on the build and sent the head back to JR UK. They couldn’t find a problem when test fitting the head on their spare main masts and sent the head back for me to try again.

I reassembled the head onto my main mast and tightened down the bolt yet the wiggle remained. Forced the nut to thread but to no avail to the wiggle, so shipped the mast and head assembled back to JR complete with the wiggle.
They promptly sent out a new main mast and head block the following day and this didn’t have any issues as expected, rock solid.

I believe it could be main mast related but don’t have spare’s to prove it.

Kind Regards

Thank you! I'll shoot Horizon hobbies an e-mail about the problem. Let's see wha they will do.

Hi

I had the same issue. Got a new head block and shaft.

New head on old shaft gave less wiggle, but not zero....
old head on new shaft gave the same, less but not zero....
The wobble was so little, i probably would have accepted it, but i had the parts and was being anal....so

New head and shaft..... perfection.
