I have just got a EP200 and it came with a DX7 transmiter unit and RX.
It also came with a Castle PHX 10 esc.I went on the castle site for info on the ESC and read they can be a issue using the ESC with spektrum gear.
This lead me to other posts about Spektrum RX`s needing a constant voltage to avoid loss of signal,This with 3 cell packs.
Can you use AR6100 RX with a 2 cell pack?
I am a complete novice and any help on Radio setup using spectrum RX would be great.
I have cc 10A esc,3 hs 45`s,1 hs 50 and Fut 401 GY,2 cell 800mah.Need to get a RX hence question.

Yes you can.
I have a CC Phoenix 10 in one of mine and love it.

Check the Firmware revision of your RX... should be a small round sticker on it somewhere.... I believe that V1.4 and above has no issues with randomly rebooting mid-flight.... not sure if i heard about a "loss of signal" problem though :dontknow

I think it might be the reboot you mention. Is that caused by not enough power to RX?
Sorry if these are basic Q`s but i am finding the electronics hard to understand being new to this type of heli.

Late models of the 6100 vs 1.2 were also programmed with fast reboot. You can check your receiver by quickly disconnecting and reconnecting power. The receiver should reconnect very quickly.
There were blackouts of a couple of seconds if voltage dropped too low before spektrum reprogrammed the firmware to have fast reconnect. On 6100 v1.6 the indicator light flashes if there has been power interruption during flight. In fact, if you don't shut down the Tx between batteries the v1.6 flashes.

Not absolutely necessary.
I fly with the exact same setup with an AR6100 and the old firmware, with no issues at all.
Just keep track of battery usage, so you don't put back more than approx. 80% of the capacity. For me, it means approx. 6 minutes of flying on a Aplus 850mAh 2s pack.
Go build, go fly and never look back. :YeaBaby:
Welcome to the pack, btw.
