How do I get that little pin out of the head that holds the feathering shaft and main shaft together? :thinking I think I bent my main shaft and I need to just pull it out to roll it and check. Any suggestions on how to get that little thing out?

thanks

well, figured out that the main shaft isnt locked in by that little pin, but it'd still be nice to know how to get it out when I need to change out the feathering shaft :D
Edit: found out my feathering shaft is bent, so I really need this now.
Someone please?

The pin holds the feathering shaft in the yoke. It is pressed in and can be driven out with a small punch or anything that is a little smaller. I have not had to take mine out yet.

The pin is smaller on one end than the other, so make sure you push it out in the right direction. To do so, like jetleaf said, can be pushed out by something smaller. Clamp a push rod, head, and a small metal tube on the other end, in a vice and push it out... which takes a long time to get it just right, I've spend a long time trying to get this process down... pushing it back in is much easier :) Second and easier option, is to use a pinion puller.... the pinion puller shaft needs to be smaller than the pin, so you'd need a tiny one.
