main shaft position?

How much main shaft should be sticking out of the last bearing before you put the mast collar on? Is it just enough so the small diameter is sticking out?

I am not sure because I bought my gaui used, also there is no mention of shaft length in the manual.

Put the small collar on the ottom of the shaft and snug it up (not too tight) that should b the correct height for the main shaft.
