But, I read that CC85HV, with new firmware, works very well in gov mode...like JAZZ 50, or no ?
With JAZZ I need heatsink, I fly with 85 °F ( 30°C ).....

I have a Logo500 vstabi with a Neu1910H.

I had got CC85HV and i sold it for a Jazz80. The jazz80 has a very good gov mode BUT it runs hotter than CC even on lipos and motor.

Now that CC has a new firmware i will give it a try.

For your 600 the jazz55 need a GOOD heat shrink mod or you will have thermal. Or you have to go with PJ (the gov can give problems sometimes) or the new Give but at what price?

So as JohnR (Flybar-less) said give to the CC a try.

I own the CC85HV on my trex 600e and I like it. However the new firmware did not work well with my setup. I do have very good success with v1.55 however, so I do like the esc.

That being said, the new firmware from CC is NOT a reason to buy a CC esc, it is a disappointment in my opinion.

I don't own a Jazz 55 but I have a Jazz 80. The 80 has a great governer but has thermal issues. I don't know whether the Jazz 55 has the same thermal issues.

I have a NEU 1515 2.5d/f/h and a CC85HV on my 600e and it did not work well with the new firmware (V2.00 beta). Oscillations and strange behavior. I tried every setting imaginable and it didn't work well at all. The governer was unable to maintain any headspeed I chose (from 1900 to 2300 rpm) regardless of gain or any other setting (I did have some success with low gain, but when the battery level dropped below 1/2 even that failed to maintain the headspeed and I got oscillations).

All works perfectly well with v1.55 of the firmware at (2200 rpm) on my heli however. So I do like the esc, just don't like the new firmware at all.

The Jazz gov is just perfect, but it runs too hot, I've just had mine fail. Mid flight just lost power, it stinks from the 'magic smoke' .....

Your see a lot of posts here about fitting heatsinks but TBH should you need to modify a top end esc just to cope with 'normal' ( LOL thats UK heat~ 20c) heat.

The cc, runs cool but even with the new sw it don't match the jazz.

I'm probably gonna stick with cc, even the new Jive looks problematic ...and that before any heat issues...!

I haven't. Since v1.55 works well for me, I will simply wait until CC addresses with a future release. I have no issues at all with my CC esc as it is right now (running v1.55), and so I have nothing to complain about per se. V2.00 is a beta release and still technically a "use at your own risk" situation.

Hi,

@Biillyd : What Setup do you use with your CC85HV and NEU 1515 2.5 ? I also tried the new SW from CC and was not convinced about it. But with 1.55 i've heard about Problems, so i've used 1.54. I think i will go back and trie 1.55. Can you give me the Details please?
Thanks

My friend had some probs wit the Jazz 80 and a Hacker Motor on a Logo500. All the time the Jazz switchet to Batery Fail Save and when he tried to switch off, there was no reaction. In the end, the Jazz Puffd and also killd 3 BLS 451 a BLS 251 and the Futaba Fasst Receiver....

I use the CC85HV for a long time now with ho probs in a T-Rex 600 with VStabi and going to use a other one in my new Logo 500 VStabi.

I am using high governer with a custom gain of 67% I have a 12t pinion with the standard main gear (170t) and have a Tx throttle of 22.5% flat for 2200 rpm. (It's weird how low the tx throttle is, but it is what it is). (Using a Futaba 9CHPS radio with a 2.4 module and an 8 channel futaba 2.4 receiver.)

I am using low advance, low power startup, medium throttle response (I don't think this matters). Current sensitivity is disabled. I have a custom lipo cutoff set to 20.2v, using 6s 6000mah Maxamps batteries.

I am using v1.55 with the CC 85HV a Neu 1515 2.5d /f/h and swinging Align CF 600 mm blades on my Trex 600. This setup works perfectly for me, totally rock steady. Logictech 6100t&g combo on the tail. 9252's on the cyclic. Quick uk tail, and swash. Kasama main gear on order (tired of autobearing locking up).

Sorry this probably belongs in the Align 600e section.... But just answering the question.
