TREX 450 SA converted to SE
The heli has been upgraded to SE status except for plastic main rotor grips, plastic head button and aluminum tail boom. Spektrum AR6000 Rx and bind plug included, just bind to your DX6 or higher Spektrum or JR Tx and fly! The heli has been set-up for 3D flight and has been very good to me. It has had several crashes, but all damaged parts have been replaced.
What you will get:
TREX 450 SA->SE Heli
Radix blades-1 set (installed, one blade was nicked by a little rock at the center and tip, but it still flies great)
MS Composit CF Blades-1 set (new, never flown, but not in bag)
325 White Woodies-1 set (used, flown only 3 times before I just had to get CF blades again)
Align CF weighted paddles-1 set (installed)
Align plastic paddles-1 set
Align plastic "Batman" tailblades-2 sets
Gorilla Gears(low profile, black)-1 set installed
HS65-HB-4 servos (will add and setup a Futaba S9650 on the tail for $30 extra, but will delay shipment by one day)
Align 430XL motor and RCE-BL35G ESC (I'm throwing in a Just-Go-Fly 450F Brushless Outrunner and an RCE-BL35X ESC to sweeten the deal)
Duzi flybar control system-$80 value
Duzi washout set-$63 value
Polished silver aluminum rudder servo mounts & CF and silver boom supports
CF horizontal and vertical fins-custom painted to match the light yellow and blue pro painted canopy (canopy is in great condition)
SE V2 aluminum blocks installed in the frame
SE metal tail system (with fuel tube mod) and metal swash (swash came sloppy from the factory, but still flies great)
Futaba GY-401 gyro (in great condition with instructions, wires have been shortened for this heli)
Microheli adjustable CF rudder control rod
Trueblood swash leveling tool
Align main blade Pitch Gauge
Align blade balancer
TREX 450 aluminum carrying case with strap and key (the case has been used a lot and I was more worried about what was inside it than the outward appearance)
Training gears
Spare Parts(not many):
Original SA fin set
Main Shafts-2 pieces
Feathering shaft-1 piece
Main gear central hubs-2 sets (one still attached to damaged main gear set, but still works)
Tail Drive main gear-1 piece
TREX SE decal set (not that you'll need to use any on this beautiful bird)
Various hardware and pinions, also several bearings
I will include zip ties, velcro straps and double sided foam tape with the heli.
What you will need to fly:
3S lipo battery with deans connector
Spektrum Transmitter DX6 and higher
Basic flying skills-this heli is not setup for a beginner, but it can be toned down to that level fairly easily using your Tx
Heli history/info:
I bought this heli as an SA version and after several crashes found myself owning an SE, except for the plastic main grips, head button and aluminum boom. I prefer the plastic grips because it makes a natural breaking point in case of a crash, and I've found the aluminum boom works better with vibration issues. The heli has CF SE frames, Gorilla landing gear and has been decked out with some of the best upgrades available, including Duzi parts in the head. You will have two motor, and two ESC choices. Both motors run great and have great power. The JGF is a little more efficient than the 430XL. The 35G ESC is installed in the heli, and the 35X needs new Align bullet connectors to be installed. The 35X will also need to be set-up again prior to flight. The 35G ESC works fine and is covered in clear shrink tubing from the heat sink mod that I did on it, but you can use the 35X if you want to run a 6v setup. All wires on the bird have been meshed for looks and protection except motor and elevator servo wires. This heli is setup clean and all wires have been shortened to reduce weight. The installed 430XL is matched to a 12t pinion which I find to be a good mix of maneuverability and flight time. All links have been sized and are smooth, but may change due to temperature differences, always check the linkages. Bearings are are also smooth. The head has been set up for 3D flight and you will need to check pitch with your own Tx using the included pitch gauge before flying. The dampeners inside the head are made by me, using fuel tube. I find them very responsive, almost as responsive as truebloods and way better than stock. I also used gasser fuel tube which is denser than normal fuel tube so they last a pretty long time. I will also include another set of these dampeners, but use at your own risk. The new dampeners have not been tested in the heli. I suggest using the training gears when you're ready to use them. The heli is in beautiful shape, but does have some scratches from everyday wear and tear. The vertical fin has several scratches and so does the boom and tailcase. The canopy has been through one minor crash but is in great shape and looks like it did the day I bought it. Several mods have been done to the heli, like the fuel tube dampeners, as well as the fuel tube mod to the tail slider and also the idler pulley has been removed. The installed belt is 3DX brand and has lasted me over a year with no problems at all. I've run this heli dry to keep dirt and grit from accumulating on rubbing surfaces, so the heli is very clean. Like any heli, make sure you go over the setup using your own TX. I am not responsible for anything overlooked or any changes the heli might undergo during shipping. Also I would like the buyer to have a little knowledge of heli building. This is my baby and I want to make sure it goes to a good home. I will ship the heli once payment goes through, with insurance if you choose. For info on me you can ask my friends in the Local Club forums under the Official SCVHC Heli Club. I have been flying helis for almost two years and have a Hurricane 550 in addition to this heli. I am a very detail oriented builder and my work is clean. I've never had a crash due to mechanical failure caused by me, except when I first began in this hobby. I'm asking $550.00 for the heli, plus shipping and insurance if you choose to use it (always a good idea). I will have USPS shipping details once I have a destination, and shipping only to ConUS please. Although there aren't many spares, it's a TREX, so parts are very easy to find, and there are many extras included. This is one heli you won't need to take apart to make sure it's put together properly. Also, i will not part out this heli. It's either all or nothing, thanks. Please PM me if you're interested. If you're asking yourself, why is this guy selling such a great heli? It's simple, I just need to focus on school right now and I need the money to get going. Thank you for your consideration.
Also...I will be out of town from July 11-13, so all offers made between then will be answered when I get back, unless I find an internet connection in the Sierra Nevadas!
