Just got my Belt CP last night. Chraged the battery (3 hours) then went to mount into the heli and ??????

The directions are not very clear. They say use attached cord(long cord with velcro) but no matter how tight I make it the battery can just slide out. Are you supposed to mount the velcro cord to the frame?

I feel like such an idiot but I can not figure it out.

You should be able to slide it in the bottom of the heli onto the soulplate.

Align straps are better as you wrap em round twice, but they will still slide a bit.

I think once you connect the batt. it will not slide out because the wires are not long enough, and you should have canopy mounted!

Thanx for the pic.

I was trying to strap in the other way and I had so much extra strap, so I will try it your way when I get home.

What about just using velcro?

Whoops, did you spot the mistake? I've got carbon ed. CP!!!

I thought the manual method on page 10 (step 4) means you can adjust the battery position to aid balancing the copter? Suppose you can still adjust the strap length in the same way?

Once you find a good balanced position, then try a rectangle of sticky back velcro on the batt and chassis? Be sure you can still accomodate the canopy and it should remove almost all movement combined with the strap.

Happy flying!!! (If your getting vibes or movement on the canopy too, you can fix it with 2 x 5mm cut-off antenna tube over the mounting rod).

I also have mine in the same way as Robban.

This way it cannot fall out with the canopy on or off.

I use velcro to keep it in place while I putz around with it on my work bench, but I use a large plastic tie strip to hold it in place while I fly.

If you hit hard, the battery can come loose from the velcro and you really don't want your LiPo hitting the ground.

I have the CF frame and mount it like Copterboy w/velcro on batt. and bottom frame and then strap it down. Before the CF frame mounted it like Robban/Johnny.
