Problem with my Stratus kit

Well.. While building the head I have realized I'm missing parts. I only have ONE (1) of each different size shims to hold the dampeners in. Also the real bugger is that the M5x16 flanged bolts DO NOT thread in to the spindle. I've tried and tried again and they won't thread. Looking into the end of the spindle it looks as if maybe the "threading" machine left some bad threads. I'm so mad now, after building, and building, I must stop because of this defect.
This is my first MA kit and I'm hoping when I call them and tell them that my parts bag 7C has all kinds of issues they will be helpfull.
One other thing. I got the 8.18 kit for OS engines. Wasn't I suppose to get the tank with the black cap on it? I got the tank with the clear cap/smaller opening is this a mistake also? Anyhow.. Guess I'm gonna go to sleep now.

when i built my stratus kit they left out a fair amount of parts... just small things like;

e clips for the head, bearings for mixing arms, washers and a couple of little parts..

nothing too much, but it is very frustrating... oh and about the tank..!!.. i got that exact one as you did, it is actually better because that tank is the ys one.. the ones with the black caps they have been blowing of the tanks.. i guess they are just using the ys ones now... but they are better...

Call MA about the problem with the parts. You can still go forward and build the rest of the helicopter. I believe that MA is putting the tanks with the clear screw on cap in all the kits now. Even the OS kits , pilots are using the Cline system which pressurizes the tank. So MA put the Nalgene bottle tanks in all the kits.

I have continued with the building of the kit. I guess my concern is that when I call MA they will ship me the parts that were left out of the kit and also send a new spindle & spindle bolts. Hopefully so. Anyhow thanks for you response and good news on that tank.

Again more parts missing. Someone forgot to include the O-rings that go on the tail-driveshaft bearing housing block.

Had also missing parts. Tough i dont regret having bought a MA heli! they rock!!
