Hi Folks:
Well I just passed a milestone flying my Blade 400. Six, yes count 'em six consecutive flights with no damage. Guess the simulator practice is paying off. I'm only hovering from ground effect up to about 10 ft. but this is good for me! Monday was a little gusty and the wind was changing through about 50 degrees so I had to stay alert but I have this BIG grin on my face.:D

embrace the addiction.............
just keep at a pace thats good for you done get superbrave
just take you time and perfecr each manuver before steping out of the norm
its always good to get a flight plan for each flight so you know what to work on
and still use the sim to get the muscle memory down before the acual
for me the acual is easier to fly
keep it up man soo you will need plastic surgury to remove grin

Congrats Greg! :clappp
One thing that also helps, once you do begin FF, you will be flying above your head so you have room to recover. Best advice a local pilot gave me was to practice hovering well above my head. The view changes a great deal from eye level/10 feet to higher.
But do take it at your own pace. Do not rush things. You have a long time to be involved in the hobby and only you know what you are comfortable doing. When you want to step out of your current box, do it on the sim until you can do it without thinking. That is the muscle memory Sokal speaks of. It really becomes second nature.
Keep it up. Glad Phoenix is paying off for you. ;)

Hi Guys:
Thanks for all the words of encouragement. I guess the next step is hover nose in?
I'd post a vid but I don't have a cam. Recording an eight min hover would also be super boring..lol:Fan

Keep it up!!!! The more you fly....the more confident you'll get!!
Don't rush the learning curve like the majority of us are!!!!

Good job!
That "I'm actually FLYING it" feeling is fantastic, just getting there myself and like you I am grinning ear to ear.
