Do anyone have a complete list of the issues that should be adressed when building and setting up a Protos?

I know about the soft tailfin, static issues, and some close tolerances on parts.
Also i read something about a new/old tail hub, will my kit bought at Readyheli last week have the new one?

Anything else?

New tail hub pulleys were sent out to owners shortly after they went on sale, if you bought from Readyheli last week it should have the new pulley in the box.

Other than the items you've mentioned I'm not aware of any other regular problems that have come up. There's a long running MSH owners thread on RCgroups thats worth a look.

The issues i had are all covered in the build thread i posted (also in this section).
The tail pulley was upgraded in a early stage and the kit you receive will have it in standard.
I had no further issues.
I read reports about pins coming out.., i had no big issues with them.
When you assemble pins you have to check if the pins tightly fit were they should be tight, and smoothly fit were they should be smooth..
AFAIK there were also modifications made to fine-tune those tolerances.
I would recommend lubing the belt with silicone and do the tail groundmod.
Also put some CA on the screws going in all plastic head parts.
That's about it :)

Great, just hope my set arrives soon, and my GF don't kill me before i got it build. I might have "forgotten" telling her about it :D

I've seen the tread on rcgroups, but after 10-15 pages i got tired...... Just some useful info once or twice each page, so i hoped Eric would wrap it up for me, and now he did :)

btw..There were some reports about the Delrin washoutbase being very tight on the mainshaft..
But i only read that in the very beginning.

I'm a pretty fast reader, No Problem ;)

one thing to remember is this is a plastic composite material make sure you do not over tighten any screws as it will crack the material, i did this on my and had it blow apart me in mid air, but several other factors played into this.

I tightened the belt before the flight
I had already cracked the tail case and dint replace it, however it looked solid
the flight before I had snapped off the tail fin in a crazy whacky auto/brownout.

I am just finishing up my build, and can add atleast one issue i haven't seen before:

The flybar-carrier's brass spacer was to narrow, so that when i tighened it up towards the hub, the bearings bind.
Just a email to readyheli, and a new part is on its way, but it will take atleast one week to get it :(

Also i haven't filed this much since my scool-days :D

I am having a most disturbing tracking issue, couple hundred bucks after the original kit and still adding up and not happy, about to give up on this thing!
