Orbit 30-12E Pinion??

Hey, I just got myself a Logo6003d V-bar and it comes with a Plettenburg Orbit 30-12e motor and powerjazz.

The heli came form a top 3D pilot and I am not a top 3d pilot, nmore a mild 3d pilot. I am aiming to run about 2100-2200HS in idle 2.

I think it comes with a 17t (MOD 0.7,), I was going to buy a 15t and 16t to try but any real info would be good.

Anyone can give me an idea of pinions would be great as I am fairly new to the world of electrics.

G'day Tim,

You have the 30-12 Heli Expert 680kV motor. I have the 30-12 standard version 650kV. Got 16T on mine which gives me around 2200rpm so 16T will work well for you.

I'm happy with my 30-12 std & don't need the HE versions - that would require upgrading from my Jazz 55's to Jives/PJ's and 3700mAh to 4350mAh lipos cos the can handle the extra current better.
