I am trying to install the fan on a OS91 CSpec and need help.
If I use the 2 collets & engine washer on bottom the collets will not snug up.
What combination of collets and shims are used for the CSpec?

On my CSpec, starting at the front bearing of the engine.
1st Washer that comes with engine
2nd Lower collet
3rd Fan
4th Upper Collet
5th 0332 shim, at least I think that is the part number. It is the .5mm or 1 mm shim washer.
6th Crankshaft nut
That is what I have on both my Cspecs and the fan is tight on the crankshaft.

David,
Thats the combination I'm using but I have 1/8 play in the fan.
Not sure what is wrong but from looking at the fan, it looks as if the collets will need to almost touch each other to be tight.
When I put my collets on the crank their 1/4 inch from touching each other.
The bottom collet bottoms out against the crank washer and the top collet is bottoming out were the threads end on the crank - no way the collets could touch each other.

Make sure the washer on the nut side is smaller than the bore of the fan. It its the same or biger the nut will go tight compressing the washer against the fan not the collet. Take it apart and compare the outside diameter of the washer to that of the collet you are using. if it is bigger get another washer the same size.

Rick,
The top collet is tight going onto the crankshaft of the OS 91. Just keeping tightening the nut and pulling it down and it should tighten the fan. My top collet was tight on both my Cspec and I had to pull it all down tight with the nut. Also put some machine oil on the outer surface of the collets.
