My 100pro just had an unfortunate encounter with a tree and I somehow managed to bend my spindle. Instead of spending 20 bucks on a new head block, I ordered the spindle and damper kit from helidirect.
How hard is it to do that job?
What is the proper procedure?
Thanks!

not sure about the 100, but for the 200 you can use a block of wood, and a small driver. search these forums, and you'll find plenty of other ways too.

Yeah, the 100 pro has the same head as the 200. thanks for the help
for the once in a while in breaks, probably just easier to get a new head, was no picnic getting the spindle pin out and you need the right tool, So if you have to buy the tool, might not be worth it.

Somehow?
Are you serious?
The tree is the "somehow" :YeaBaby:
The G200 can take a lot of beating, but trees and spindles is a bad mix. :nanabobo

After my 200 somehow mananged to fly into the side of my car a week or so ago I too had the "bent spindle blues".:( What a treat. It wasn't that bad but the little pin she doesn't like coming out so much :...: I discovered. Just drive it out with a small pin punch or something small enough. I used a nail, well actually 16 nails. They kept bending. After I managed to get the pin out there was no noticeable deformation of the spindle even when rolling on glass, straight as an arrow. However, when I tried to put screws into it one side the screw went in as you would expect, the other side after about 4 or 5 turns of the screw it would get tight. New spindle in and head vibration gone so all is good now.
