Folks,

I've tried this for about 2 hours now, and have come to the conclusion that it can't be done.

I have a DX7 that I would like to be the master and a X9303 as a slave. I put the DX7 in trainer mode and set to master (tried p-link also). Attach the cable to the DX7. Then set the X9303 to slave, the screen comes up "Plug in DSC cable and power off". I do this and flipping the L or R rocker on the DX7 yields nothing on the X9303. In fact I never shift control off the DX7 to the X9303 no matter which switch/switches are flipped.

If I switch and make the X9303 the master and the DX7 the slave it works so I know the cable is good.

L or R rocker I'm assuming the top most switches on the DX7?

Any ideas? I'm at a loss....:dontknow

I have it worked with JR9XII....
The rocker switchs refer to the black switch (+/- switch) next to to Spektrum Logo in the front ! not on the top ! And it's not user friendly to use !

tgo,

That was it, I would have never thought that those switches would be the trainer switches because they are in such an odd place!

I`ve got a DSX9 which is the european version of the X9303 and have similar problems.

Trying to buddy up to a DX7 with the correct lead is just not happening.

The DSX9 controls everything correctly on the heli with this lead in but throwing the change over switch on the DX7 leads to the remote glow (on aux 2 switch) being operated all the time and one of the cyclic servos not working at all.

There may be other things that aren`t right but I`ll not yet checked further.

Anyone any idea how to sort this out?

DX7 as master or DSX9?
which trainer mode you are using?

I`m trying to use the DX7 as the master and my DSX9 as the slave unit.

Not sure what you mean by trainer mode though??

Using the front mounted slide switch on the front of the DX7 to change over.

Go to Tranier setuup screen, which trainer mode you are using, Program mode or normal mode ?

Try leaving the 9303 in Master mode, even though it is the Slave.

I found (by calling Horizon) that when you conenct two 9303s yo uleave them both in Master mode. The slave is the one with the switch off, the one with teh switch on is the master.

I know the answer but I figured I'd ask. So if you want to BB with your 9303 and your heli, with the other person being the master, you have two choices:

1) The master (other person) has to bind to your heli.

or

2) You need to switch TX's

Correct? We did #1 this weekend. Just a pain to go back and forth with rebinding when you wanted to fly alone. (#2 was not an a great option because the other pilot uses a tray.

When using two 9303's both have to be in Master mode as I've found out this weekend.

I told you this already. :)

But yes, those are the two ways. Or get a JR BB Tx (or cheap Tx) for buddy boxing.
