Hi,

I installed a new ATG v3. The sensor is working well, but it's very slow to react. I use the flight mode to switch from 1700rpm by 1900rpm to 2100rpm. When I switch I have to wait about 8-10 second before hearing the rpm accelerating or deccelerating. Is it OK? I think not, but how to setup that ?

Hello
I think there is some thinks to check...

I have an ATG v2, if you put the detector threshold to low, your atg will make time to react
For this, put your throttle stick to low and throttle cut on (your motor is in off position)
Click the "L" on the ATG
Put your stick to high position (throtlle cut off) and click on the 'H'
now check if your atg is beeing "on" about 25% to 35% of your stick since 0

And check if on your radio there is no "delay" an throttle channel or aux channel...

Can you tel me what TX you have?

best regards

Olivier

Thanks for the tips, I did this setup step. And the ATG is ON at about 25% of my stick.

I have no delay on throttle or aux. I have a DX7 transmitter.

Ok I have the same transmiter than you.

When you setup your ATG there is a little delay when you change rpm (throttle to mid-stick an push the "P" button)
In this case that's normal.

If when you fly the ATG tend to make 8 to 10 second to change rpm that's isn't normal...

Try to check this:
-Your throttle linkage is set correctly (90° on all horn, I put a photo later, I haven't got my heli near me now)
-Did you find the right setup for having 100/100 in the throttle travel adjust?
(the atg need to having the travel of your servo almost 100/100 or maximum 95/95, If you aren't in this value, the resolution of the servo command was wrong, and ATG need time for having the right rpm)
-Did you using a wrong servo?
Atg need a speed servo but not a super servo
A digital standard servo is a good choice (I put a DS821) , I try some servo on my heli and is one of the best result (I try a S9254,S3001,S3003,BMS617,Hitec HS315,HS325,HS475)

I hope I helped you ...
Tell to me what results you had....

hi
mine did the same.... but once its locked in, it stays locked in..
i simply upped the thorttle curve a bit so that the curve will be higer rpm than should be, then atg kicks in to drop rpm a bit.... i fly now 100, 60, 100 curve on my 50.
