Its still a bluebird tho.. and the speed isnt that good, oddly its slower at 6.0v than 4.8v.
Mine did the same, and I fitted a JR DS380G... I have just got a second Gaui 200, and I will be putting one on it as well... very fast. Hope the damage wasn't too bad after it exploded

How about something different.... Robbe FS 61 BB carbon speed digital
this is almost a clone of the Logictech 3100, but will work with any gyro. Its got the same sort of performance as the 9257, just less torque and in a much smaller package.

Im using a towerpro SG50 currently, 0.10sec. (http://www.nesail.com/detail.php?productID=3404) mind you Im not doing any tricky manouvers and had it in stock. Ive got the Align RCe550 (telebee?) cheap gyro, so this servos seemed fast enough to me.
A good tip woth all these cheap clipped together servos is to wrap a few turns of thread (thin sewing thead will do, or kevlar if you have it) round it and soak it in CA before installing, but after checking it works ok (not glitchy). Stops the exploding servo followed by a crash
