As you may recall from my Maiden Flight thread I was having some problems in the drivetrain; LOTS-O-WOBBLE! Isolated it to the swashplate and the replacement arrived only I was away on business, just returned, got the Gaui all re-setup and SUCCESS!!! :banana:banana:banana

Still a little wobble on the initial spin of the entire helo up BUT you can see the swash is perfect, no problems there whatsoever. The old unit really wobbled with nothing attached, no doubt the bearing isn't seated straight or something along those lines. I suspect the kit I received was an EARLY version of the Gaui kit and as I learned there were some known issues with some parts including the swashplate so...
I also switched gearing; now a 15-20-50-61 (the later being a Microheli gear) and the bumped up head speed really helped with stability IMHO. Still using the stock Gaui 1100kv Super-Pig motor, hope to get a Z20A-980 at some point. I did one punchup and MAN, no loss of tail control or position at all, DIALED IN my friends, love it!
Still doing some tweaking and tuning but overall she's a different helo with a proper swashplate, different gearing producing higher headspeed numbers, NICE! My Gaui just seemed sluggish in the 17-1800 rpm range but I know not to be pushing above 2k without doing some upgrades as well.
Next will be carbon blades if and when they arrive, can't wait to test these buggers out!
Happy Flying! :cheers :cheers
