So I my guai tail blades are cracked, and I am waiting on a new set. So I decided to take an old set of trex 450 blades, and make my self a gaui tail blade out of it.

Funny thing is they hold a little better in a punch out, and piro really nice.

Basically just held a gaui blade up to the rex blade, cut it to length. Thinned down the end going into the rotor, drilled a hole. Smoothed it all out with a little sand paper. Then balanced both blades. Took maybe 15 mins.

They seem to work pretty well. I would like to do this with a kbd design also, and see which works better.

Maybe kbd will make a nice gaui blade for us.

...no 5h1t they hold better with that surface area!!!.... but must say thats a really neat job Dan:thumbup: I have been watching the posts here since i joined at the begining of the year and we are now at the point of getting almost a new poster/owner a day... that works out at an ever rapidly expanding customer base and i think you're right... it won't be long before we see a whole range of 3rd party products on Offer... especially if this "new 200" that Ray mentioned turns out to ba an Align. I'm waiting on Gorilla gear :)

I do not notice any more vibration than I did with the stock. I always had a slight vibration of the fin, but no tail wag, or vibration of the tail.

I was careful to balance them, by trimming the plastic, not adding tape, etc.

Man all those tools I had to buy for dental school have to be used for something.
