Hi, first post so be gentle :D
Was hoping to post something along the lines of ...without advice/info my trex wouldn't have got off the ground. Thanks :) but all i have is this...
As you can see tracks melted (my fault) So i'm ok making tracks/replace(need to know what parts Numbers so on) parts but what should track look like ? Any help would be great, units not very old
Thanks
The part of the circuit board with the burned SMT resistors doesn't look like it's economic to repair, or worth the risk of burning up a battery if the repair misfires (bad pun). Repairs may also affect calibration, which probably can't be done outside the factory. I would send it in for a new board, or just keep it for parts and buy another. How did it happen?

trying to charge 2 3 cell packs :o
It looks bad and until i cleaned off damage did still charge 3 cell only. I'm hopeing to make daughter boared maybe even add fuse wire to each cell circiut. Just wanted to know what the circiut is and parts. Unless its cheap to send back!?
UK based and local modelshop not the best for this, helpfull.
BTW do have another one, so guess i can cross ref results
Since you have another one, you could probably trace the circuits by shining a flashlight through the board and looking at the other side. The SMT parts look like resistors, but there's likely other parts that burned up in a less obvious way. Maybe contact the UK distributor or Bantam direct and get a price.
Fuses sound like a good idea -- perhaps they could be added to the balance connector wiring harness.

Thanks, i can't always see the simple way :) Glad i asked. Hard part for me is finding the Value and the parts on Farrnel.com. Can i put a meter across the RES to find its value?
I guess its worth a shout to bantam or UK.
I've found in the UK sellers very helpfull till they got my money. Luckly found this place
Little over a month i've got my heli setup fully and understand what i'm doing, well almost and what i don't know is most likely posted somewhere here. I've had 5 proper hours in the air with my trex. Tryed heli's 12 years back less than a one min in the air and big repair bill.
Can i put a meter across the RES to find its value? Yes, but you'll have to unsolder it so you can test it out of the circuit. If you haven't soldered/unsoldered surface-mount parts before, suggest googling on the subject first.
Sounds like you're doing good with the trex and having fun, that's what it's all about. :)
