Guys, I am in need of some advice please. I want two new batteries and I have a friend coming over from America in a few weeks time and I plan to order two for delivery to him for him to bring them over to me. My questions are as follows:

Are there any restrictions on transporting Lipos in your luggage? I don't want to ask him to do anything which might put him in an awkward position and do you think it would be better to place them in his stowed luggage or in his hand luggage?

I want two x mid range 2400, 20Cs, or thereabouts. Do you guys over there have any good recommendations. He is in Illinois so the delivery costs will be to there. When I say mid range I mean good value for money, not the cheapest because they might just be rubbish, but certainly not the dearest. As my friend might say, aim for the knee of the quality curve. I've no idea what it means really, but he says it. I think he might mean best bang for buck.

Anyway I am off to bed now so I won't be able to pick up on the thread until tomorrow so thanks in advance for any suggestions you are able to come up with and I'll get back to you tomorrow.

Cheers.

Well i would just have him call the airline he is flying and ask what their policy is because each of the airlines differ on certain things. I would imagine at the least they might want them in lipo safe bags. Which he should be able to pick up at any lhs i would think.

Man i know just read a thread on this issue some where, i'll do a little surfing and see if i can find it.
