I sure do wish I had seen this last week. I ordered everything to convert my TT to belt except I didn't know that the shaft was NOT included. What a bummer.
Had anyone used the MH parts to make a TT tail? If so, how did you do it?

I haven't done it yet. But I believe brass spacers and longer screws for the side plates is all that would be necessary.

You can use the spacers off the stock TT tail case. As soon as I get new gears I'll post some pics. Unless someone else get's their put together.

If you use the stock spacers you can.

Thanks
so the entire MH tail case will work for belt or shaft as long as you use these spacers?

No. I was wrong. The MH tail will not work with the SD (TT) kit. The damn belt pulley has to be removed and only two of the side-plate screws will catch.

i'd say that a belt driven microheli tail is the best you can get for now. i've sait it before, but those MH tails are tough. just make sure everything is perfect. k&b will kick in...i know it:whip

is there a picture of what this looks like, its a definate no go? I was really considering this tail, but its a bummer if you can't use it for the torque drive. I suppose you can just use the pieces that matter and use the stock case on the sd, but thats another expense if I go that route.

a few of us run a combination MH/gaui tail. i have the gaui side plates, with the stock case, and a MH tail after that. it works good. i fly like a newb, with this heli anyway. <-----wuss. :)

I'm sure MH will have the TT tail assembly out soon. The other parts (besides the sides) are availible seperately from MH. HElidirect sells them.
