Servo case sizes

Hello all
How does one measure servo case sizes?:confused:
Is the measure started in the center of the mounting holes? or , are the actual case sizes measured?
I am having a heck of a time figuring this one out:dontknow

Are you wondering what the manufacturers are referring to when they state their servo measurements on websites?

Well not to make any thing complicated , I need a servo that has the same or as near Dim's as a 9650, that also has near the same specs. I was being a cheap @$*@($&. I dont want to pay 55.00 each for some servos.
